Proactive Alternatives, located in Libertyville, Illinois, is a conventional and integrative care practice led by Mary I. Stowell, APRN. She has been in practice for over 19 years, graduated in 1998 from DePaul University, and was certified with ANCC as APRN.
At their beautiful office, Proactive Alternatives ensures you receive attentive, patient-centered care, whenever you need it. Their unique care model centers on both conventional and integrative approaches and centers on a root-cause assessment and comprehensive lab tests. They offer personalized treatment strategies that may include dietary and nutritional plans, which can help with weight management, as well as using bioidentical hormone therapies, or prescription medications, to target your specific needs.
Mary I. Stowell, APRN, has had extensive training in alternative medicine with her approach combining the latest advancements in conventional medicine such as Geonomics, BHRT, Photon, IV Nutritional Therapy, Individual Cellular Nutritional Testing, and Oxygen Therapy.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES
We are excited to announce that we now offer telehealth services to our patients. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now offering telehealth visits for certain medical conditions. Having a “virtual” visit from the comfort of your home is the best way to provide treatment and keep you safe. Proactive Alternatives will do a consultation via your smartphone or laptop, and bill the visit to your medical insurance, just like a standard in-person visit to our office.
